Programs
Our programs support Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) workers in Far North Queensland by addressing their unique health needs. We deliver culturally tailored initiatives focused on disease prevention, early detection, and sexual and reproductive health, empowering workers to maintain their well-being. Through collaboration with local partners, we foster equitable access to health services and create environments where PALM workers can thrive.

Community Engagement & Health Promotion
The Community Engagement and Health Promotion program is an initiative by the Australian Government aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the Pacific Islander workforce involved in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme. By addressing the specific health needs of this workforce the initiative seeks to foster a healthier, more engaged community that positively impacts both individual wellbeing and the wider Australian society.
02
Point-of-Care Testing Initiatives
Our Point of Care testing initiatives provide PALM scheme workers with rapid, accessible screening for sexually transmitted infections and drug and alcohol use. By enabling early detection and intervention, these services help reduce disease prevalence and transmission while promoting healthier, safer workplaces and communities.
03
Health Education
Our health initiatives include comprehensive well-being programs designed to enhance the overall health of PALM workers, with a focus on supporting women both during their time in Australia and upon their return home. By fostering holistic wellbeing, we aim to equip workers with the skills and knowledge to sustain healthier lifestyles, benefiting their families and communities across Australia and the Pacific region.
